Legion Park is a 24-acre recreation area featuring screened picnic shelters, a half-mile paved walking path, lighted basketball courts, a playground, and other amenities. Created in 1894, the park has a rich history of bringing good sporting fun to the community of Owensboro. It lies just south of downtown, above the Owensboro Country Club.
